I started this blog as a way of sharing the cool things I do at the cottage and in life generally. It always seemed to me that I have a bunch of disjointed interests that I just knew family and friends would like to hear about, but no convenient way to tell them all. What better way than to blog about it?
Most cottage blogs on the internet mostly deal with design and style. That’s not me. I won’t be making table centerpieces from wildflowers or wall decorations from repurposed clothing, but I will be showing you MY way of making awesome campfires and cooking delicious food on it. I’ll tell you about the things around Spruce Lake that I find neat and interesting, and I’ll throw in a few pictures to boot.
Privacy is important to me, so that’s why I’m not Facebooking this. That’s also why I won’t be showing my face in any of the photos, or the faces of my friends and family. Oh btw, “Spruce Lake” is a name I just made up for the cottage property. It happens to get wet from time to time, and it has an abundance of evergreen trees. I don’t even think they’re Spruce!
What’s the endgame? What does this blog look like in 5 years? I’d like it to be a collection of stories and experiences that I hope will inspire you to do your own thing outdoors and appreciate what we have, while we have it. I’ve got a few other goals also, but you’ll have to stick around to find those out!
So, have a look around. Ask questions. Leave a suggestion! I may not answer every comment, but I promise I’ll read every single one!
